Injury Blow for Leicester City: Wilfred Ndidi Sidelined for Three Months

Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca has disclosed that Wilfred Ndidi, the Super Eagles midfielder, is sidelined due to injury, rendering him unavailable for AFCON and the Foxes’ upcoming matches.

Ndidi, a key player for Leicester City with 21 appearances, two goals, and five assists this season, will miss the FA Cup clash against Millwall. Unfortunately, the 27-year-old midfielder, initially named in Nigeria’s squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, had to withdraw due to a muscle injury.

Maresca stated that Ndidi’s recovery may extend to three months, marking a significant setback for the player who recently returned to top form after grappling with injuries in the past two seasons.

This injury comes as a blow to Ndidi, depriving him of the chance to participate in the AFCON tournament with Nigeria.
