InterCity State Transport CEO Nana Akomea Expresses Disgust Over Black Stars’ AFCON Performance, Calls for an Early Exit

Nana Akomea, the CEO of InterCity State Transport and a passionate soccer enthusiast, has expressed deep dissatisfaction with the Black Stars’ performance in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.

Akomea voiced his disappointment, particularly focusing on the team’s lackluster display in the match against Mozambique on January 22, which ended in a 2-2 draw due to a critical error made by Ghana’s goalkeeper, Richard Ofori, in the final minutes of the game.

Ofori’s attempt to catch a ball already crossing the line allowed Mozambique to equalize, significantly diminishing Ghana’s chances of advancing to the next stage of the tournament.

With Ghana teetering on the edge of elimination from AFCON, despite some hopeful calculations, Nana Akomea firmly believes the team’s subpar performance does not warrant qualification.

“We don’t even deserve to qualify. We should simply come back home,” exclaimed Akomea during his analysis of the Ghana-Mozambique match on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show.
