Stonebwoy Rallies Support for Black Stars Ahead of Crucial AFCON Clash

Reggae Dancehall artist Stonebwoy is rallying massive support for the Black Stars as they prepare for a pivotal final group game against Mozambique in the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Following the disappointment of a 2-2 draw against Egypt, where Ghana twice relinquished the lead, the stakes are high for Monday’s must-win encounter. Stonebwoy, expressing unwavering optimism in the team’s capabilities, emphasized Ghana’s superiority in the game against Egypt and their potential to qualify convincingly.

Encouraging a fighting spirit nationwide, Stonebwoy stated, “God bless Ghana. Let’s put on the fighting spirit, Ghana. That’s all. We can overqualify, I’m telling you. What did Egypt play today? Their goals were not really good goals. We just need to be wise.”

In Thursday’s match, Ghana took an initial lead with Mohammed Kudus’ goal in the 45th minute, but defensive lapses allowed Egypt to level the score twice. With the upcoming must-win clash against Mozambique on Monday determining their progression to the next round, Stonebwoy’s call aims to uplift the spirits of both the team and the nation, urging them to embrace a fighting spirit for a decisive victory.
