Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is set to host a special dinner on January 9, 2024, for the Super Eagles as they prepare to depart for the 34th Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire. Co-hosted by the Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, the event will be attended by prominent figures including governors, sports officials, and high-profile Nigerians. The players and officials will arrive in Lagos on a chartered aircraft, expressing gratitude for the support from the governor and his administration. The send-off ceremony, themed ‘Let’s Do It Again,’ aims to inspire the team as they strive for a fourth continental title in Cote d’Ivoire. The Nigerian contingent will depart for Abidjan on Wednesday morning for the AFCON competition in Group A against Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea Bissau, led by Alhaji Sharif Rabiu Inuwa, Chairman of the NFF Technical and Development Committee.
