Moses Parker, the President of Medeama SC, has expressed the club’s unwavering determination to secure a win against Al Ahly in the upcoming CAF Champions League encounter set for Friday, February 23. The clash between the Ghana Premier League champions and the African giants holds immense importance for Medeama SC.
In an interview with Akoma FM, Parker confidently affirmed Medeama’s ability to emerge victorious, drawing parallels to their historic triumph over TP Mazembe in 2015. Stressing the significance of the game, he emphasized the team’s thorough preparedness and deemed the support of Ghanaian fans crucial to their success.
“Medeama is going all out. This game means a lot to us. We did it in 2015 against TP Mazembe at Essipong, so repeating it won’t be difficult. This Friday, we will shock Ghanaians by defeating Al Ahly and secure qualification in Algeria,” Parker declared.
Furthermore, Parker revealed a substantial reward package assembled to motivate the players to strive for victory against the Egyptian club. While refraining from predicting a win, he expressed confidence in achieving it through positive means and called for the support of all Ghanaians.
“I have a very big package for the players if they win on Friday, I can’t disclose the bonus, but it’s bigger than what the FA proposed to the Black Stars, and I know they (the players) need more, and this boosts my confidence in winning against Al Ahly,” Parker added.
The highly anticipated CAF Champions League encounter between Medeama SC and Al Ahly is scheduled to kick off at 6 pm on Friday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
