Setback for Al Ahly’s New Signing Wessam Abou Ali as Hamstring Injury Surfaces

Al Ahly, the reigning champions, have encountered an early setback with their recent signing, Wessam Abou Ali, who is now sidelined due to a hamstring injury shortly after joining the club.

Wessam Abou Ali, a 25-year-old Palestinian forward, recently inked a four-and-a-half-year deal with Al Ahly, transferring from Swedish club IK Sirius. Unfortunately, just days before Egyptian football activities resume, he suffered an injury during training, requiring a period of recovery.

In response to the setback, Al Ahly’s medical team has initiated the rehabilitation process for Wessam Abou Ali in the gym, aiming to expedite his recovery from the hamstring injury.

As the champions gear up for their upcoming challenge, facing CR Belouizdad in the CAF Champions League group stages on February 16th, they will need to adjust their plans in light of this unexpected development.
