In an exclusive interview with Citi Sports, Bulley emphasized his vision for the premier basketball league to foster widespread interest and participation in the sport.

The league has commenced with 10 teams competing in both the Men’s Division I and Women’s Division, while powerhouse teams like Tema Youth and Junior Reformers participate in the 20-team Men’s Division II.

Bulley highlighted the significance of private contributions in a league traditionally dominated by security service teams, welcoming the diversity and potential growth they bring to the sport.

The 2024 ABL Season follows Ghana’s silver medal win in the Men’s 3×3 Basketball event at the 2023 African Games, further fueling enthusiasm for basketball in the country.
