Black Challenge Shines at African Amputee Football Competition in Egypt

Defending champions, the Black Challenge of Ghana, have asserted their dominance at the ongoing African Amputee Football Competition in Egypt.

In their second group match of the African Amputee Football Cup of Nations (AAFCON) held in Cairo, Ghana delivered a stellar performance, securing a commanding 5-0 victory over Algeria.

The scoring spree began with Yusif finding the net in the 7th minute, followed quickly by Hamza in the 10th minute. Captain Opencil further extended the lead with a goal in the 18th minute, leading to a timeout in the 24th minute.

Maestro Mubarak capitalized on the momentum just before halftime, scoring in the 25th minute. In the second half, Mubarak demonstrated his prowess once again with a goal in the 42nd minute, and Timothy sealed the win with a final goal in the 49th minute.

Mubarak’s exceptional performance earned him the Man of the Match title for the second time. He expressed that the MVP Award has inspired him to do more for his country and urged Ghanaians to pray for the team as they aim to defend the cup and secure a spot in the World Cup.
