General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo (Esq) of the Ghana Football Association is calling on communities to throw their support behind local Colts football clubs.

Every week, Colts football games light up every football district across the nation, providing communities with grassroots football entertainment.

According to Addo, Colts clubs are indispensable for football’s growth and talent identification.

He emphasizes the critical need for community backing to ensure their survival, nurture potential youth players, and bolster the success of the Catch Them Young referees policy.

“Colts football clubs are crucial in instilling a love for the game among young players, offering structured coaching, competitive platforms, and a sense of community,” says Addo.

“These clubs promote physical activity, teamwork, and discipline among youth, acting as nurseries for future football stars.”

“As the cornerstone of local football development, Colts clubs heavily rely on community support. By uniting behind these clubs, communities can shape football’s future, providing opportunities for young players to chase their dreams and contribute positively to society.”
