Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey is likely to leave Arsenal before the start of the 2024-2025 season, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Romano shared this insight during an appearance on the JD Football Podcast, discussing Arsenal’s future plans after narrowly missing out on the 2023-2024 English Premier League title. Manchester City clinched the title with 91 points, just two points ahead of Arsenal’s 89.
On the podcast, Romano suggested that Partey is poised for an exit and that Arsenal is close to signing a new left-back.
“They have several players lined up. There is a good chance they will bring in a new midfielder. Thomas Partey will leave, Jorginho has been extended, but I also think they want to sign a new left-back,” Romano stated.
Partey had another injury-plagued season, making only 16 appearances in all competitions as the Gunners pursued their first EPL title in 21 years.
