French Embassy Conducts Pre-Departure Training for Ghanaian Volunteers Bound for Paris 2024

In Accra, a two-day training session for Ghanaian volunteers selected for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games has concluded. The event, held at Alliance Française, aimed to equip the volunteers with essential knowledge to navigate Paris and handle potential cultural differences during the multi-sport event scheduled for July and August.

Ten volunteers, drawn from various sporting federations in Ghana, participated in the pre-departure training organized by the French Embassy in collaboration with France Volontaires. The training focused on preparing the volunteers for their roles and ensuring they are well-prepared for their mission in France.

Fofogan Doku, Volunteering Development Officer at France Volontaires, expressed confidence in the volunteers’ readiness to fulfill their mission in France after the comprehensive training.

The volunteers shared their experiences, expressing gratitude for the valuable information and insights gained during the training sessions. They affirmed their readiness to execute their duties effectively at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Sponsored by the French Embassy, the volunteers will spend between 8 and 12 months in France, working with French organizations related to sports and youth.
