The Ghana Football Association (GFA) extends its deepest condolences to the wife of Ricky Roy, the late fitness trainer of the Black Stars, who passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness.
A GFA delegation, led by Director of Marketing Jamil Maraby, visited the grieving widow to offer solace and support during this challenging period.
Accompanying the delegation were notable figures from the Black Stars team, including team manager Ameenu Shardow, goalkeeper’s trainer Fatau Dauda, Communications Director Henry Asante Twum, and Physiotherapist Samuel Kwame Ankomah.
Ricky Roy’s sudden departure has left a void in the football community, with his invaluable contributions to the Black Stars and his unwavering commitment to fitness training fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
During the visit, the delegation conveyed their sympathies to the widow and provided words of comfort to aid her during this time of mourning. The widow’s family informed the delegation that details regarding the one-week commemoration would be announced later.
