Ropapa Mensah, the former Ghana U20 striker, has secured the coveted title of USL League One Player of the Month for April, recognizing his outstanding performances for Chattanooga Red Wolves.
Mensah’s impressive contributions included four goals and an assist throughout April, making him the player with the highest goal involvement as Chattanooga Red Wolves maintained an unbeaten streak last month.
His remarkable achievement was highlighted by his first-ever hat-trick against Central Valley, along with an additional assist in a significant victory on April 13.
Expressing his gratitude, Mensah stated, “I’m deeply humbled and grateful to receive this award. It’s an immense honor to be recognized as Player of the Month. I owe this accomplishment to my teammates, coaches, and the entire team for their unwavering support and hard work. This award not only acknowledges my individual performance but also underscores our team’s commitment and unity.”
In addition to his goal-scoring prowess, the former Inter Allies forward also contributed significantly with 25 duels won, nine shots, five recoveries, and two completed dribbles during April.
Chattanooga coach Scott Mackenzie praised Mensah’s impact, saying, “Ropapa has made a stellar start to the season, consistently finding the back of the net and being a positive influence both on and off the pitch. We believe he is poised for an exceptional year, and there’s undoubtedly more to come from him
