Great Olympics midfielder Gladson Awako is confident that his team will avoid relegation by the end of the Ghana Premier League season.
Despite their recent victory over Berekum Chelsea on matchday 31, Great Olympics remain in the relegation zone, sitting 16th in the standings with 36 points. However, they have a chance to secure their spot in the league with four games remaining, including an outstanding match against Dreams FC.
Speaking to the media, the former Hearts of Oak midfielder expressed his optimism about Great Olympics’ survival. “For sure, we will stay in the Ghana Premier League. We are capable and we are going to work to the last minute to escape relegation,” Awako stated.
Great Olympics face a challenging match against Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium on matchday 32. Dropping points is not an option for the team as they fight to remain in the top-flight league.
Awako, who rejoined Great Olympics before the start of the second round of the season after leaving Hearts of Oak, remains determined to help his team stay up.
