“Knockout Night: Quaye and Laryea Defend WBO Africa Titles in Accra Showdown”

In a thrilling night of boxing at the Accra Sports Stadium hosted by Swavy Blu and Bronx Promotions, Sheriff Quaye and Jacob Laryea showcased their dominance by successfully defending their WBO Africa titles.

The Ultimate Boxing Show lived up to its name as every fighter delivered exceptional performances in the ring.

Sheriff Quaye, also known as ‘One Time’, fulfilled his promise of retaining his WBO Africa Lightweight title by defeating Michael Ofei Dodoo in the eighth round with a commanding performance, solidifying his position as the 8th-ranked boxer globally and eyeing further success in the future.

Meanwhile, Jacob Tetteh Laryea, with an unblemished record of 12 wins, successfully defended his WBO Africa Super Welterweight title by knocking out Daniel Lartey in just three rounds, reaffirming his moniker ‘Chorkor Fire’ and asserting his dominance in the division.

After the fights, WBO Africa Representative Samir Captan presented the championship belts to the victorious boxers, encouraging them to continue their hard work and strive for even greater achievements.

Other notable victories included Awumey Nelson securing his second professional win in the heavyweight division, former National Cruiserweight Champion Jacob Dickson delivering a knockout blow to his opponent, and former WBO Africa Bantamweight Champion Isaac Sackey claiming victory via knockout.

Coach Carl Lokko commended his winning boxers and urged them to set their sights on bigger challenges ahead.
