Lawrence Ati-Zigi Extends St. Gallen Contract

Ghanaian goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi has inked a two-year contract extension with Swiss Super League outfit, St. Gallen.

The 27-year-old’s previous deal with the Espens was due to conclude in the summer of 2025.

“We are delighted to secure Lawrence’s services for the long haul,” the club stated in a release.

“He’s a pivotal player who not only impresses on the field but also off it, showcasing professionalism, composure, and leadership qualities.

“During negotiations, it was evident that both parties were keen on an extension. We eagerly anticipate Lawrence’s continued dedication.”

The Black Stars shot-stopper is now entering his fifth season with St. Gallen after joining from Sochaux at the commencement of the 2019/20 campaign.

This season, he has participated in 32 league matches, registering five clean sheets while conceding 44 goals.

Over his five-year tenure at St. Gallen, Lawrence Ati-Zigi has amassed 159 appearances across all competitions, conceding 237 goals and preserving 32 clean sheets.
