Malmo and Bodo/Glimt Compete for Ghanaian Winger Edmund Baidoo

Ghanaian youngster Edmund Baidoo is drawing significant interest from several European clubs following a stellar start to the season with Sogndal in the Norwegian league.

The 18-year-old’s impressive performances have caught the eye of Norwegian giants Bodo/Glimt. However, Swedish champions Malmo FF have now entered the race to sign the talented teenager ahead of the summer transfer window.

Malmo is prepared to meet Sogndal’s asking price of around 2 million euros as they bolster their squad for next season’s European competitions.

In addition, three Belgian clubs, including KRC Genk and Club Brugge, are reportedly monitoring Baidoo’s progress in Norway.

This season, Baidoo has scored three goals and provided one assist in seven games. He joined Sogndal in 2024 from Ghanaian lower-tier side AsanSka FC.
