According to a report from Sportblog247.com, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has expressed a preference for Chelsea over Paris Saint-Germain as his potential destination in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Despite having signed a contract extension that would have tied him to Napoli until the end of the 2025-2026 season, Osimhen is anticipated to depart the Diego Maradona Stadium at the conclusion of the current campaign.

Having established himself as a prominent center forward since joining Napoli, Osimhen has amassed an impressive record of 75 goals and 18 assists in 130 appearances across all competitions. The 25-year-old Nigerian, who currently holds the title of African Footballer of the Year, has also been recognized globally, ranking fifth in The Best FIFA Football Awards 2023 and eighth in the 2023 Men’s Ballon d’Or.

Reports suggest that both PSG and Chelsea have initiated discussions with Napoli to explore the possibility of securing Osimhen’s services. However, negotiations are complicated by his release clause of 130 million euros.

In an effort to reduce the financial burden, Chelsea is reportedly considering including player swaps in their offer for Osimhen, whereas PSG aims to defer payment of the release clause.
