President Simeon-Okraku Motivates Black Starlets Ahead of Crucial Nigeria Clash

On Monday, President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku met with Ghana’s National Under-17 team, the Black Starlets, to boost their morale before their 3rd place playoff against Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets on Tuesday.

The playoff match, part of the WAFU Zone B Under-17 Championship, will determine the bronze medalist and will take place at 16:00 GMT at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

Despite a strong start in the group stage, the Black Starlets fell to Burkina Faso in the semi-finals. This defeat, along with Coach Laryea Kingston’s resignation announcement, affected the team’s morale. In response, Deputy Head Coach Nana Kweku Agyemang was appointed to lead the team for the upcoming match.
