Red Star Belgrade, the reigning Serbian champions, have completed a notable transfer deal by selling Osman Bukari to Austin FC in the MLS for a reported fee of 7 million Euros, as reported by Sportblog247.com.
During his time with the club, the Ghanaian international forward showcased remarkable talent, scoring 25 goals and providing 20 assists in 77 matches. His departure represents a significant loss for Red Star.
Bukari’s contributions made him a valuable asset to the team, underscoring Red Star’s ability to identify and nurture talent effectively.
Joining the club in July 2022 from Belgian side KAA Gent for 3 million Euros after a successful loan spell at FC Nantes in France, the 25-year-old winger has been instrumental in Red Star’s success. He notably clinched the Serbian Super Liga title twice and the Serbian Cup title on two occasions during his tenure.
The transfer marks a substantial financial gain for Red Star, with the 7 million Euros likely to be reinvested in the team as they prepare for the upcoming season.
