Dubbed the Cape Coast Showdown, the 2024 edition of the GNPC Ghana Fastest Human (GFH) Competition is set to be one of the biggest athletics events, igniting excitement among students and the local community.
This highly anticipated event, scheduled for Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium, will feature sprinters from the Central and Western Regions of Ghana, and is expected to draw participants from other regions as well.
Athletics enthusiasts are in for an electrifying display of speed and skill as some of Ghana’s finest athletes compete for glory and a spot in the GFH finale in Accra. Notable schools such as St. Augustine’s College, Adisadel College, Aggrey Memorial, Ghana National College, and Mfantsipim will showcase their sprinters, promising an exciting atmosphere for their supporters.
Previously, Edwin Gadayi and Janet Mensah claimed victory in the senior races at the northern region edition held at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale.
GNPC and other sponsors have lined up attractive prizes for winners in all age categories, ensuring a fiercely competitive event. This weekend, all roads lead to the Cape Coast Sports Stadium for a thrilling showdown.
