Arsenal Hesitant to Meet €75m Asking Price for 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup Golden Boot Winner Victor Osimhen

According to a report from Calcionapoli24, referencing Radio Kiss Kiss, Arsenal is unwilling to pay more than €75 million (approximately N120 billion in Nigerian currency) to sign Victor Osimhen, the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner.

Mikel Arteta is eager to strengthen his squad this summer by adding a new striker to improve Arsenal’s chances of ending their Premier League drought and competing for major honors next season.

Following the failed pursuit of Benjamin Šeško, who extended his contract with RB Leipzig, Arsenal has turned its attention to Osimhen. However, the club may face a stumbling block if it cannot meet his release clause.

Osimhen’s release clause is set at €130 million, significantly higher than the fee Arsenal is currently prepared to pay. Napoli’s firm stance means no club will secure the Nigerian international at a discounted price.

Napoli plans to use the proceeds from Osimhen’s potential sale to reinvest in their squad, aiming to start strongly under new manager Antonio Conte. Romelu Lukaku is among the players being considered to replace Osimhen.

With the Nigerian forward’s substantial release clause, it remains uncertain whether any club will strike a deal with Napoli for Osimhen this summer.
