Propel Sports Africa Achieves Milestone with Extensive NPFL Live Coverage

Propel Sports Africa achieved a significant milestone during the final matchday of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season by streaming nine out of ten matches via its NPFL_Live app.

This feat has been widely applauded by stakeholders, marking a historic moment in Nigeria’s league history with unprecedented coverage.

Basil Kabbani, Chairman of Propel Sports Africa, emphasized that the decision to cover all matches on the final day aimed to provide millions of Nigerian football enthusiasts the opportunity to watch their favorite teams and witness the season’s climax.

“As we look ahead to the 2024/25 season and beyond, we are committed to further growth and success, investing in advanced infrastructure to enhance the viewing experience on our OTT platform,” Kabbani added.

Reflecting on the 2023/24 NPFL season, Kabbani described it as a valuable learning experience that culminated in significant success.

“This season saw a pioneering use of AI cameras on such a scale in Africa, covering over 300 matches. We are proud of our Nigerian team who quickly adapted to and operated these facilities,” he stated.

Propel Sports Africa’s investment includes deploying ten AI cameras across Nigeria, training and employing over 80 technicians and commentators, and enhancing local telecommunications and Starlink capabilities for streaming uploads.
