Onyedika Philip Obinna, an 18-year-old football prodigy, has traveled to Jerusalem, Israel, for a trial and potential signing with Hapoel Jerusalem, a top-tier club in the Israeli Premier League.

Obinna, a highly skilled attacker and the leading scorer in the ongoing Rising Stars Football League in Abuja, Nigeria, departed for Israel on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.

Chidiebere Ogbu, Chairman of Chidex Football Club and Academy, encouraged Obinna to strive to become one of the world’s football greats. Prince Joseph Nwanze, the Executive Secretary of Chidex Football Club and Academy, urged him to focus on his game and represent the club, Nigeria, and Africa with pride both on and off the pitch.

Obinna received well-wishes from head coach Abdullahi Ndakolo Mohammed, assistant coach Abdullahi Salisu, team manager Ogbu Michael Emeka, captain Eze Stephen Oluchukwu, and his teammates.
