Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal have returned with a substantial offer and are prepared to meet Napoli’s financial demands for Victor Osimhen, Sportblog247.com understands.
Three clubs—Chelsea, PSG, and Al Hilal—remain in the race to sign Osimhen this summer, with Arsenal’s interest cooling in recent days.
Chelsea is reluctant to pay an exorbitant fee for the Nigerian striker and prefers a player-plus-cash swap deal. Despite Napoli’s interest in Chelsea’s Lukaku, the Italians are not enthusiastic about the Blues’ proposal.
PSG has the financial resources to make a significant signing following Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid. However, they have not reached an agreement with Napoli, who are firm on the €130 million release clause in Osimhen’s contract. PSG is seeking a discount, hoping to finalize the deal for €90 to €100 million.
This positions Al Hilal as the frontrunner to secure Osimhen’s signature. According to today’s Repubblica newspaper (as per Tutto Napoli), the Saudi Arabian club is ready to meet Napoli’s valuation of the striker.
If Osimhen agrees to Al Hilal’s offer, the 25-year-old could soon leave Europe for the Middle East. Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, is expected to present the offer to Napoli’s President, Aurelio De Laurentiis.
Should the deal be accepted, Al Hilal’s €130 million bid will set a new African transfer record, surpassing the €86 million fee Osimhen commanded when moving from LOSC Lille to Napoli four years ago.
While Napoli is willing to finalize the deal with Al Hilal, Osimhen faces a crucial decision. The Nigerian forward harbors dreams of playing in the English Premier League.
