Austin FC Sporting Director Praises Osman Bukari’s Fit for Club’s Profile

Rodolfo Borrell, Sporting Director of Austin Football Club, has highlighted that Ghanaian winger Osman Bukari possesses the ideal characteristics that align with the club’s player profile.

In an interview during Bukari’s first media appearance after joining on a three-and-a-half-year deal from Red Star Belgrade in Serbia, Borrell explained that Bukari caught their attention following an impressive performance in a derby victory over Partizan Belgrade.

Bukari confirmed that Borrell initiated talks for his recruitment to Austin based on his standout displays. Borrell emphasized that Bukari’s attributes perfectly matched their criteria for the positions they sought to strengthen within the team.

“It’s not just about one game,” Borrell clarified, “It’s about identifying the specific characteristics we value for each position and integrating them into our style of play. Bukari fit that profile, and we’re pleased to have secured his services.”

Bukari becomes the second Ghanaian international to join Major League Soccer (MLS) after winger Joseph Paintsil’s move from KRC Genk in Belgium to LA Galaxy.
