Ghanaian forward Patrick Twumasi has officially joined Israeli club Beitar Jerusalem after passing his medical tests and signing his contract earlier today.
Accompanied by his wife and five children, Twumasi was presented with the number 27 jersey, his requested number. He is set to begin training with the team tomorrow as they prepare for their final session ahead of the Toto Cup this weekend, after which the team will decide whether to include him in their squad.
Twumasi arrives in good form, having started the season with Cypriot club Paphos FC in the UEFA Europa League qualifications. The 30-year-old former Black Stars player returns to Israel, having previously played for Maccabi Netanya, where he scored 16 times in 48 appearances.
Twumasi has also played for Spanish club Deportivo Alaves, Hannover 96 in Germany, Astana FC, Spartaks Jurmala, Amkar Perm, and Gazientep FK. His experience and current form make him a promising addition to the team. The club’s fans are likely excited to see how he will contribute to the team’s success.
As he begins training, all eyes will be on Twumasi to see if he can secure a spot in the squad and make an impact on the pitch.
