Black Sharks Qualify for Beach Soccer AFCON After Dominant Win Over Ivory Coast

Ghana’s Beach Soccer team, the Black Sharks, have secured their spot in the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt following an impressive 5-2 victory over Ivory Coast in Abidjan. This win gave the Black Sharks a 10-5 aggregate victory over their West African neighbors.

After traveling to Abidjan with a 5-3 lead from the first leg, the Black Sharks initially found themselves trailing 2-1 after the first period. However, a strong second-half performance saw them clinch victory and qualify for the AFCON.

Wise Nyamadi equalized in the second half before captain Alex Osah put the Black Sharks ahead for the first time in the match. Late goals from Precious Torgbor and Jude Akile secured the win for Ghana, ensuring their place in the continental showpiece.
