Delphina Quaye Optimistic About Future of Ghana Swimming After Channel One Championship

President of the Ghana Swimming Association, Delphina Quaye, expressed strong optimism about the future of swimming in Ghana. She shared her views during an interview with Channel One Sports on the final day of the second edition of the Channel One TV National Swimming Championship.

Held on July 13 and 14 at the Borteyman Sports Complex, this yearโ€™s competition saw over 150 swimmers from eight clubs across Ghana. Delphina Quaye was particularly impressed with the performances of the young swimmers, some as young as eight years old.

“There is hope for the Association. Seeing these young swimmers perform at this age shows we have a promising future. As they continue to grow and train until they are 18 or 20 years old, we will develop even better swimmers than we see now,” Quaye remarked.

The Legon Sharks emerged as the top performers, replacing last year’s champions, Marlins Swim Club.
