German-born Ghanaian defender Derrick Kohn has resumed pre-season training with Turkish champions Galatasaray in preparation for the upcoming campaign.

The left-back, who joined Galatasaray during the winter transfer window, was instrumental in their league title triumph last season. Kohn joined his teammates at the club’s training complex on Thursday as they began preparations for the new season.

Next week, the team will travel to Austria for further pre-season training, including a series of friendlies at the Raiffeisen Arena. Galatasaray will face Austrian side LASK in their first match, followed by a game against Fortuna Düsseldorf.

They will also play against AC Trencin of Slovakia and Italian clubs Lecce and Parma before returning to Turkey to begin their title defense.

Kohn, born in Germany to Ghanaian parents, remains eligible to represent the Black Stars at the senior level.
