Ghana Among Four African Nations Set to Compete in 2024 Olympics 4×100 Men’s Relay

Ghana has officially been confirmed to compete in the 4×100 Men’s Relay Race at the 2024 Olympic Games. World Athletics announced the participating teams, with Ghana among four African nations qualifying for the event. Joining Ghana are fellow West African nations Nigeria and Liberia, as well as South Africa.

Although Ghana secured a spot in the men’s relay, they did not qualify in the female category, where Nigeria and Cote D’Ivoire will represent Africa.

Ghana’s team, consisting of Isaac Botsio, Benjamin Azamati, Joseph Paul Amoah, and Ibrahim Fuseini, earned their Olympic ticket by winning their heat at the World Relays in the Bahamas with a time of 38.29 seconds.

Amoah and Azamati, who competed in the 2020 Olympics 4×100 Men’s Relay Final for Ghana along with Sean Safo-Antwi and Emmanuel Yeboah, are set to represent their country again after finishing seventh in the previous Olympics.
