Ghanaian Winger David Atanga Signs with Wolfsberger AC in Austrian Bundesliga Return

Ghanaian winger David Atanga has made his return to the Austrian Bundesliga, signing a two-year contract with Wolfsberger AC.

The 27-year-old joins the club on a free transfer after his contract with Belgian side KV Oostende expired. Atanga is familiar with Austrian football, having previously played for RB Salzburg, SKN St. Pölten, and Admira Wacker.

The former Red Bull Salzburg youth product spent the last three seasons in Belgium, where he contributed 11 goals and two assists in 74 appearances for KV Oostende.

Despite his impressive club career, Atanga has yet to earn a senior cap for the Ghana national team, although he has represented the Black Starlets and Black Satellites.

Wolfsberger AC is hopeful that Atanga will bring his experience and attacking flair to the squad as they compete in the upcoming season.
