Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has highlighted the “experience and athleticism” of defender Joseph Ablorh as pivotal reasons for the club’s decision to sign him.
The 26-year-old defender joins the Porcupine Warriors on a two-year deal from Guinean Premier League club Hafia FC, a move announced by Asante Kotoko on Wednesday via a statement on their official website.
Following Ablorh’s unveiling, Prosper Ogum expressed his delight and confidence in the player’s abilities, emphasizing how he can significantly enhance the team’s defensive capabilities and overall performance.
“We are thrilled to welcome Joseph to Asante Kotoko. At 26, he brings a blend of experience and athleticism that will strengthen our defensive line. His skills and leadership will be pivotal as we strive to elevate our team and achieve our goals,” Ogum stated.
Joseph Ablorh earned recognition at Hafia FC for his strong tackling, aerial prowess, and leadership qualities, which saw him earn a spot in the Team of the Season during the 2020/2021 Guinean top-flight season.
Asante Kotoko continues to actively recruit players to fill the void left by the departure of over 20 players at the end of the previous season, aiming to rebuild a competitive squad for upcoming campaigns.
