The second edition of the Channel One TV National Swimming Championship concluded with the Legon Sharks emerging as the overall winners. Held at the Borteyman Sports Complex, the 2024 championship saw over 150 swimmers from eight clubs across Ghana compete in various age categories: Under 10, Under 13, and 14 and over.
Over the two days of intense competition, the Legon Sharks delivered outstanding performances, winning a total of 179 medals. This achievement knocked the 2023 champions, Marlins Swim Club, to third place. Marlins Swim Club, with a smaller team this year, won 137 medals. GH Dolphins secured second place with a combined total of 170 medals from both male and female competitors.
The Legon Sharks were awarded Best Male Team, with Marlins and Aquatic Masters placing second and third, respectively. In the female category, GH Dolphins claimed the top spot, followed by Marlins and Aquatic Masters.
The event was attended by notable figures, including 2023 African Games LOC Chairman, Dr. Ofosu Asare, and Ghana Swimming Association President, Delphina Quaye.
