Liverpool are reportedly targeting Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong as they seek to strengthen their squad this summer. Manager Arne Slot is particularly impressed with the Netherlands international and is eager to bring him to Anfield.
Frimpong, who moved to Bayer Leverkusen from Manchester City in January 2021, has become a crucial player for the German club. Over 100 Bundesliga appearances, he has scored 18 goals and contributed to 56 victories.
With a buyout clause of approximately €40-45 million (£33.7-38 million) in his current contract, Frimpong is an appealing target for Liverpool. Transfermarkt values him at €50 million. The 23-year-old right-back is under contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2028 and has represented the Netherlands in Euro 2024.
Frimpong is reportedly considering his future, with interest also coming from Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Arsenal. German outlet Bild suggests that he is open to a move this summer, potentially prompting Liverpool to make a significant offer.
