Controversial Ghanaian lawyer Maurice Ampaw has shed light on his ongoing legal disputes with football star Asamoah Gyan, particularly regarding the allegations involving Sarah Kwablah.
Since 2015, Ampaw has been involved in high-profile legal battles, including representing journalist Osarfo Anthony in a malicious prosecution lawsuit related to the accusations against Gyan.
Addressing his involvement in these cases, Ampaw clarified that his actions were not driven by personal animosity towards Gyan. Instead, he explained that Gyan’s dismissal of him as a “social media lawyer” spurred him to prove his legal prowess.
“I don’t harbor any personal grudge against Asamoah Gyan,” Ampaw stated. “I simply want to prove him wrong because he dared me. He discredited me, claiming I was just a social media lawyer and not among Ghana’s top legal minds. I aim to demonstrate that I am indeed one of the top lawyers in the country.”
Ampaw highlighted that his handling of challenging and controversial cases has bolstered his reputation within the legal community, contrasting himself with peers who may shy away from such cases.
“The work I undertake in this country is unparalleled. I take on cases that others avoid,” he asserted, emphasizing his commitment to his legal practice and reputation.
