Sena Agbeko Urges Enhanced Preparation for Ghanaian Boxers

Ghanaian Super Middleweight boxer Sena Agbeko has called for increased support for Ghanaian boxers in their preparation for competitions. In an exclusive interview with ChannelOne Sports, Agbeko expressed his disappointment over Ghana’s failure to qualify any boxers for the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games.

Known as the “African Warrior,” Agbeko emphasized the need for adequate preparation and support for boxers to succeed in major competitions like the Olympics. “I think they [authorities] need to listen to the coaches because the coaches are the ones on the ground, they are the ones working, they know what they need. Now we are at a point where the sponsorship has fallen off, and I think the government needs to step in and actually put in some measures to ensure that the boxers are really prepared for these events long before it’s time to start them,” Agbeko stated.

In his professional career, Agbeko has achieved 28 wins, including 22 knockouts, and has faced three losses.
