Theo ‘Lopez’ Allotey Wins Debut Professional Bout at Bukom Boxing Arena

Theophilus Kpakpo Allotey, representing Wisdom Boxing Gym, won his first professional boxing match on Saturday evening at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra. He fought as part of the Ghana Professional Boxing League event.

Allotey’s opponent, Isaac Adu Manti, could not finish the scheduled rounds and chose to quit as the fight intensified.

After his victory, Allotey confidently told the crowd that he would win a world title for Ghana. His trainer, Coach Dr. Ofori Asare, expressed strong confidence in Allotey’s abilities and promised to support him in realizing his dream.

At 22, Theo Allotey was the only bronze medalist at the African Olympic Qualifier in Dakar, Senegal. He also won another bronze medal at the 13th African Games hosted by Ghana.

Although he was unsuccessful at the world Olympic qualifiers in Italy and Thailand, he decided to turn professional. Miss Sarah Lotus Asare, his administrator at Wisdom Gym, believes in his potential for success in the professional arena. As Ghana’s first and only female matchmaker, Sarah Asare is confident that Theo’s achievements at the amateur level will translate into success as a professional boxer.

Blow Chem Industries’ Bel 7Star energy drink has signed a partnership deal with the Ghana Boxing Authority to become the headline sponsor of the professional league. The championship will now be called the Bel 7Star Boxing Professional League.
