Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey has emphasized the strength of Arsenal’s midfield as the team gears up for the 2024-2025 English Premier League season. The Gunners recently defeated AFC Bournemouth in a preseason match, showcasing their depth and talent.

Partey highlighted the presence of several high-profile midfielders vying for starting positions as Arsenal aims to secure their first EPL title in 22 years. Reflecting on his determination to overcome injuries that affected his 2023-2024 season, he shared his perspective on the competitive environment at the club.

“We have a lot of players in that position,” Partey said. “Jorge (Jorginho) is playing good, I’m playing good. Dec (Declan Rice) is there, Martin (Odegaard) too. We also have other players who can come in and make a difference.”

He added, “We have to compete against each other, and at the end of the day, it is the manager who decides. With this kind of competition, we can get to the level that we want to be at.”

Arsenal will kick off the new season against Wolves on August 17.
