Bibiani Gold Stars head coach, Frimpong Manso, has expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance in a preseason friendly against Kumasi Asante Kotoko, despite the 1-0 loss at the Cape Coast Stadium.
Manso emphasized the value of facing a top-tier team like Kotoko as his side prepares for the upcoming 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League season. He noted that the match provided a crucial test, especially since many of his players had not previously faced such high-level competition.
Manso downplayed the significance of the scoreline, instead focusing on the experience gained and the confidence boost for his squad. Gold Stars are set to open the new season against Legon Cities on September 6, while Kotoko will face Karela United the same day.
