Bochum sports director Marc Lettau has praised the signing of Dutch-Ghanaian forward Myron Boadu, emphasizing his technical prowess and finishing ability.
Boadu, 23, has joined VfL Bochum on a one-year loan from AS Monaco, with an option for the club to buy him for approximately €10 million next summer.
Lettau expressed his excitement about the acquisition, stating, “Myron is exactly the type of player we were looking for: a dynamic and powerful striker, technically adept, and a strong finisher.”
Boadu’s move to Bochum follows a challenging spell at Monaco, where he faced recurring injuries. However, he showcased his goal-scoring potential last season while on loan at Twente Enschede, netting three goals in his first eight appearances.
Originally transferred to Monaco for €17 million four years ago, Boadu is now set to make a significant impact in the Bundesliga. Bochum is optimistic that his experience and skill will strengthen their attacking lineup for the upcoming season.
