The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has extended its congratulations to Morocco for securing a bronze medal in Men’s Football at the Olympics and to Egypt for reaching the semifinals. CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe expressed pride in this historic achievement, marking the first time two African nations have advanced to the Men’s Football semifinals at the Olympics.

Dr. Motsepe highlighted the significant investments being made across Africa in football development, particularly in youth academies, with support from local and international businesses and African governments. He expressed optimism that African nations will continue to excel on the global stage, confidently predicting future Olympic gold medals and even a FIFA World Cup victory for an African team.
