Christopher Antwi-Adjei excited after joining Schalke 04

Ghanaian winger Christopher Antwi-Adjei has expressed his excitement after signing with German Bundesliga 2 club, Schalke 04.

The former Black Stars player joined the Royal Blues as a free agent after his contract with Bochum expired in June 2024.

Antwi-Adjei has signed a two-year deal with Schalke 04, keeping him at the club until June 2026. He has been handed the number 18 jersey and is expected to play a crucial role in the team’s push for promotion back to the Bundesliga.

“I’m proud to represent the Royal Blues and help the team with my experience and quality,” Antwi-Adjei said. “The club’s management team has a clear plan for me, and I’m eager to show the fans what I can do.”

With a wealth of experience in Germany, Antwi-Adjei brings valuable expertise to Schalke 04. He has played for several clubs, including SC Paderborn, where he helped achieve consecutive promotions from the third tier to the Bundesliga.

Last season, Antwi-Adjei made 25 appearances for Bochum, contributing two goals and two assists as the club narrowly avoided relegation from the Bundesliga. He has also earned three caps for the Ghana national team since his debut in November 2019.
