Ghanaian attacker Christopher Antwi-Adjei made an impressive debut for Schalke 04 in the German Bundesliga 2, helping the team secure a 2-2 draw against Magdeburg on Sunday. Entering the match as a substitute in the 72nd minute, Antwi-Adjei quickly made an impact by contributing to Kenan Karaman’s crucial equalizer in the 76th minute.
Schalke initially took the lead with Moussa Sylla’s early goal in the 8th minute, but Magdeburg fought back with goals from Marcus Mathisen and Martijn Kaars to lead by halftime. Antwi-Adjei’s involvement helped Schalke earn a valuable away point in the thrilling encounter.
The 30-year-old winger joined Schalke 04 last week on a two-year deal, bringing significant experience from his time in Germany, including 113 Bundesliga appearances and 62 in Bundesliga 2. After making 25 appearances for Bochum last season, where he contributed two goals and two assists, Antwi-Adjei is expected to play a key role for Schalke moving forward.
