Right to Dream has announced Emmanuel Alex Aseidu as the new CEO of their Ghana Academy, effective August 1st.
Aseidu, who boasts a rich background in football, education, and finance, is set to guide the academy through its next phase of growth. With a football-centric upbringing, including a father who was a coach at Great Olympics and his own amateur football experience in Denmark, Aseidu’s passion for the sport is deep-rooted. He is also a committed supporter of Accra Hearts of Oak and Liverpool FC.
In addition to his football interests, Aseidu has a strong educational background, having taught at Ashesi University and served as a Trustee of the Gaede Foundation and a board member of Legacy Girls College. His extensive career in finance includes a recent role as Head of Africa Investments for Standard Bank (excluding South Africa), and he is known as a prominent thought leader in Ghanaβs financial sector.
Fluent in five languages, including basic Danish, Aseidu enjoys gardening and traveling. He is married with four children and will succeed Eddie Mensah. Aseidu will undergo a month-long transition to ensure a smooth handover.
