Former Kotoko Goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim Set to Join Ethiopian Coffee FC

Ghanaian goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim has arrived in Addis Ababa to finalize his move to Ethiopian Coffee FC.

The former Asante Kotoko shot-stopper will undergo a mandatory medical on Monday before signing a two-year deal with the club.

Ibrahim ended his tenure with the Porcupine Warriors at the end of last season and was initially rumored to be joining rivals Hearts of Oak. However, the goalkeeper, who was part of Ghana’s squad at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, chose to continue his career abroad by joining the Ethiopian club.

He is expected to play a significant role for Ethiopian Coffee FC in the upcoming season as the team aims for the league title.

Ibrahim brings considerable experience, having represented various Ghana national teams in different competitions, including the U20 Africa Cup of Nations in 2021, where the Black Satellites emerged as champions. In the Ghana Premier League, the 21-year-old made 69 appearances for the Kumasi-based club.
