GFA in Discussions with Dutch-Ghanaian Goalkeeper Rome-Jayden Owusu-Oduro

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is closely monitoring Dutch-born goalkeeper Rome-Jayden Owusu-Oduro, who has Ghanaian heritage. The 20-year-old, currently the first-choice goalkeeper for AZ Alkmaar and a member of the Netherlands youth teams, is being considered for a potential call-up by the GFA. Recently, the GFA held talks with Owusu-Oduro’s representatives as they explore the possibility of securing his services for Ghana. Owusu-Oduro, who has represented the Netherlands at U-16 and U-21 levels, faces a choice between continuing with the Dutch junior teams or representing Ghana, his father’s country. No decision has been finalized yet.
