Ghanaian teenager Jahmael Ampofo has set his sights on delivering goals and assists in the upcoming 2024/25 season after signing his first professional contract with Dutch Eredivisie club AZ Alkmaar. The 15-year-old, who has committed to the club until 2027, is determined to make a significant impact and elevate his game.
Ampofo, who earned accolades as the Player of the Tournament at the U15 Kolping International Cup, played a crucial role in AZ Alkmaar’s third-place finish, and he is now focused on transitioning into the first team.
In a recent interview with AZ Alkmaar’s media team, Ampofo expressed his ambitions: “I want to score more goals and provide more assists than last season. My goal is to be a key player in every match and to work towards making my debut in the first team as soon as possible.” He also highlighted fellow young talent Jayden Addai as an inspiration, stating that he hopes to follow a similar path.
As Ampofo embarks on his professional journey with AZ Alkmaar, there is great anticipation surrounding his development and potential impact in the Eredivisie.
