Grace Animah Named in WAFU Zone B Tournament Best XI Despite Hasaacas Ladies’ Early Exit

Hasaacas Ladies forward Grace Animah has been named in the WAFU Zone B Tournament Best XI, despite her team’s early exit from the competition. The tournament, held in Côte d’Ivoire, served as the qualifying round for the CAF Women’s Champions League main stage.

Hasaacas Ladies, representing Ghana, were eliminated at the group stage after securing four points from three matches. In Group B, they played a goalless draw against Burkina Faso’s Omnisport, suffered a 3-0 defeat to Nigeria’s Edo Queens, and secured a 6-1 victory over AS Garde of Niger.

Despite their exit, Animah’s impressive performance, including scoring twice in the win against AS Garde, earned her a spot in the tournament’s Best XI.
