Policewoman Grace Minta has made history by winning the gold medal in the women’s 80kg category at the 2024 World Armwrestling Championship in Moldova. Competing for the “Africa for Africa” team, Minta triumphed in a thrilling final, defeating opponents from Sweden, Ukraine, Germany, Turkey, and other nations in a match that extended into overtime.

This victory marks Ghana’s first-ever gold medal at the World Armwrestling Championship.
